Providing Home Exercise Carryover in a Deeply Evidence and Metrics-Based Fashion

Elvo is a clinician-directed, voice-guided support system designed to reinforce established, evidence-based speech-language pathology and cognitive rehabilitation interventions between skilled therapy visits. Elvo users have done over 700 speech therapy sessions and have seen consistent quantitative and qualitative metrics of improvement. Please contact us at info@elvoai.com for more information about this metrics-based improvement.

Elvo does not introduce new or experimental treatment methods. Instead, it operationalizes well-documented principles such as:
  • Structured Repetition
  • Hierarchical cueing
  • External Pacing
  • Strategy Carryover
Limitations in therapy frequency, patient fatigue, memory impairment, and reduced caregiver availability frequently interfere with effective carryover of therapy strategies outside of sessions. Elvo is designed to address this gap by supporting implementation fidelity of clinician-prescribed exercises and strategies in the home or care environment.

“With Alzheimer’s there is very little that people can do to address it beyond eating well, exercising, and staying socially active. Now with Elvo, there is another way to keep people with Alzheimer’s engaged mentally and help them to live well with the condition.

Elvo had an in-depth conversation with my father about stenosis and various gastroenterological conditions and treatments, and since he is a retired gastroenterologist, he really enjoyed this interaction and it gave him a piece of his identity back. This is huge and gives people with Alzheimer’s and their family members hope.”

"As a board certified neurologist for 25 years that specializes in memory concerns and cognitive disorders that includes dementia,  I recognize  the profound impact that personalized, empathetic support can have on individuals living with dementia.  Elvo represents a groundbreaking step forward, offering my dementia patients an accessible, AI-driven voice companion that truly understands and adapts to their needs. This personalized digital tool not only helps to manage repetitive questions and provide engaging cognitive exercises that I can select, but it also promotes independence and confidence in a way that is unique and deeply empowering to help live well with dementia.

Since introducing the concept of Elvo to my dementia patients, I have been thrilled by the positive response from them and their care partner(s) who often attend the office visits. Every single dementia patient I’ve spoken to is genuinely excited to incorporate this support into their lives, and they’ve expressed real enthusiasm about the product and the possibility for having a companion "on demand" (24/7).  I am eagerly awaiting the availability of Elvo for my dementia patients given the very high interest and positive feedback from my dementia patients and also from many colleagues who share my sentiment about it's utility to assist with cognitive stimulation and support"

“Elvo has the potential to transform home therapy assistance. From word-finding practice to remembering daily activities through calendar integrations, to exercises for memory retention and reinforcing basics like days of the week and the alphabet, Elvo helps in addressing essential areas in cognitive rehabilitation.

I’m so encouraged by its impact that I invited Elvo's CEO to join patient sessions to see firsthand how Elvo can assist progress in real-time.”

"When I first learned about Elvo, I felt there might finally be a way to help my partner, Vonnie, find comfort at night. Vonnie has dementia and has had multiple strokes, making it hard for her to speak. She often wakes up distressed, and the one thing I know could bring her peace is hearing familiar words and memories from her childhood—like getting cheeseburgers with her dad. The team at Elvo is helping bring that gentle, familiar presence to life, and just thinking about the comfort this will bring to her means everything to me.

Elvo offers us something truly special—a way for Vonnie to feel connected, even when I can’t be by her side. Knowing that Elvo is there for her if she needs more help gives me real peace of mind. I’m grateful for this chance to make a difference in her comfort and happiness."

Try Elvo
Does Elvo collect metrics of how my client is progressing?

Quantitative metrics such as Median Response Latency (typical time (in seconds) required to respond to a prompt), Mean Utterance Length (average number of words produced per response) and Elaboration Rate (degree to which responses are expanded beyond minimal answers) are kept for every session and compared to previous sessions.

We have metrics for over 700 user sessions. Please reach out to us for more information at info@elvoai.com.

These metrics provide objective measures of processing speed, verbal productivity, and conversational efficiency.

This metrics framework allows Elvo reports to include:
Objective performance data
Standardized qualitative ratings
Functional real-world interpretation
Clinician observations
User-centered outcomes

Together these create a comprehensive clinical reporting model.

Does Elvo replace my clinician?

Elvo will never replace a clinician, but rather assist with home carryover.

The efficacy of Elvo as a tool for use in any therapy has been substantiated with evidence. To date, Elvo-supported use has demonstrated clinically meaningful, diagnosis-appropriate outcomes across users with aphasia, Parkinson’s disease, mild cognitive impairment, and mixed cognitive-communication disorders.

Quantitative indicators—including response latency, conversational turn density, utterance regulation, and elaboration—show changes aligned with individualized clinical goals rather than uniform numerical directionality.

Is my data secure and private?

Yes, your privacy and data security is of the utmost priority. We adhere to the strictest privacy policies available and utilize encryption to ensure your data remains confidential. Conversations are not recorded without consent, and even then they are never stored on the cloud. Elvo uses MFA to protect user access and provide maximum security.
